In terms of the overall project, step 1 involves gathering references (oddly enough, Pinterest is our best friend here). For the sake of this instructable, I'll combine several parts together. Once you have your folder overflowing with reference photos it's time to take a deep breath and open Fusion 360 (or your 3d modeling program of choice). I made two Engine Blades (one with the Ultima paint job) and over the course of both projects a rough estimate of 3d modeling time probably came in at 100+ hours, with various edits to parts in the 'trial and error phase'. I don't mean to gloss over this step, as it took longer than the rest of the project combined, but if you're following along at home I already did this for you. Click here: Engine Blade Files on MyMiniFactory.com to download the STL files. If you're interested in learning more about Fusion 360, head on over to their official website that is full of tutorials and information about how to use their software. It's free for hobbyists and has a great community surrounding it.
Alright, so you've downloaded the files and unzipped them into a folder on your desktop. There are a lot of parts, don't let it scare you off. Fire up your 3d printer/slicer of choice and start printing!

A few weeks ago, the makers of Assassin’s Creed Origins teased a screenshot of yellow feathers, and now players who embark on a new quest in Ubisoft’s sprawling ancient Egyptian adventure will find some Final Fantasy in the game. It features some of the odder use of Chocobos in gaming history.
The franchise crossover between Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed and Square Enix’s Final Fantasywas announced in August. It showed up in Final Fantasy XV in the form of an elaborate, interactive Assassin’s Festival that will end on January 31. Now, a couple of months after it launched, Assassin’s Creed Origins gets its FFXV stuff in the form of a very short, easy quest that has some neat unlocks.
To access the FFXV addition to Origins, players should look on the world map for a green icon marking a level 23 quest called A Gift From The Gods.
Spoiler warning: Don’t watch the video above—and definitely don’t scroll down past this map shot—if you don’t want to see the FFXV cameos that are part of the quest.

The quest is short. There’s no combat and just one puzzle. There is a cool cutscene that appears to show FFXV antagonist Ardyn Izunia briefly being pulled into Origins’ world before getting spirited away by the summoned creature Bahamut.

Your rewards for doing the quest are a legendary shield, sword and mount. Some of them may look familiar.

Some would say that Chocobos shouldn’t look like camels. Others might even say that it’s weird to have these two mega-franchises crossing over. It’s actually not that odd. Final Fantasy is a series known for having protagonists who have dad issues. Assassin’s Creed Origins is a game whose protagonist is a dad who has issues. It’s a natural fit.

Update - 4:57pm, December 20: Whoops! Guess I should have checked the modern day portion of the game, too. Hat tip to users of the AC subreddit, who made some comments about this. Here’s a slideshow:

In Final Fantasy XV, Noctis can find a variety of rare but potentially powerful Upgradable Weapons throughout the land of Eos. While mildly powerful on their own, these weapons can be given to Cid the Mechanic, an in exchange for certain Treasures, they can be upgraded to become even more powerful in combat - sometimes several times! Many times, upgrading a weapon may take time to prepare, requiring Noctis to go on a different quest or bounty hunt to pass the time.
